Regulations That Apply to Agricultural Products
FIFRA (US pesticide law, administered by the EPA)
An EPA-labelled pesticide is exempt from OSHA HazCom labelling, but that exemption does not remove the safety data sheet obligation.
OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200)
Sets which pesticide and fertilizer products need an SDS in a US workplace, and which are label-exempt only.
Hazardous Products Act, Schedule 1
Excludes pest control products regulated under the Pest Control Products Act from the WHMIS supplier requirements.
EU CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008
Governs classification and labelling, including environmental hazard classes, for the EU market.
